The Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge has 77 major waterfalls. On a day in later February with heavy rains predicted in the afternoon, I took a short drive east of Troutdale to photograph several of the large waterfalls.
The first stop was 249-foot Latourell Falls, next was the lower cascades of Wahkeena Falls and finally 176-foot Horsetail Falls. To be able to slow the speed of the torrents of water, I used a pocket tripod and a remote release. It worked fairly well. Here are several of the photographs. Hope you enjoy.
