Painted Hills V – Spray Wildlife


In early October I spent five days in the John Day country. On the third day of the trip I journeyed to the Sheep Rock Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.

But, in the early morning before leaving Spray, I went to the waterfront camping area on the John Day River. To my surprise, several pheasants and deer were enjoying the grass in an open field.
