Journey to the Washougal River

On a nice sunny day I took a short drive to the Washougal River area in Southwest Washington. While taking a short walk I spotted a nice blacktail buck in velvet and many colorful wildflowers in bloom.

It always amazes me that so many wonderful things can be seen if one is self-aware. It’s a rare characteristic in this age of texting and constant communication.

It takes a conscious effort to break out of the societal cocoon provided by technology. But, if one does, the rewards are spectacular.

  1. The Washougal was my first river to ever float in the PNW. Great pictures.

  2. I was looking forward to seeing a picture of the River as promised in the title! That being said, lovely photos – as always. Thank you.
