Jefferson Park in August

Alpine meadows, colorful wildflowers, lakes with crystal-clear water, blue grouse with their young and a glacier-etched peak rising over the scene.

Storm clouds highlighted the sharp contrasts in the enchanting portrait before my eyes.

Jefferson Park draws me back again and again. And I’m always rewarded with one of the finest hiking destinations in the Pacific Northwest.
