Sometimes great photo opportunities are available from the road.
On the way home from visiting central Washington, I was blessed with beautiful blue skies on Chinook Pass. It seemed only a stone’s throw to the summit of 14,409-foot Mt. Rainier.
Next stop was Takhlakh Lake on the north side of Mt. Adams. Storm clouds were forming fast, providing dramatic views of the 12,276-foot summit.
The tall, snow-covered majestic volcanoes are deservedly called the crown jewels of the Northwest.
Inspiring photos, John. Too many beautiful places, too little time.
