The Dalles Mountain Ranch area is a favorite destination of mine in the early spring. I usually hike to the top of Stacker Butte while parking above the old ranch buildings.
Now there are some interesting trails below the Dalles Mountain Road accessible off Highway 14 at the new Crawford Oaks parking area.
As icing on the cake, there is a tall waterfall only one-half mile into the hike.
It’s always fun finding a new place to explore.
Gorgeous pictures!!! I’ve got to get myself east of the Cascades so I can witness the wildflower show.
Next week the wildflower show on the summit of Dog Mountain ought to be spectacular.
