2014 was for the Birds

Last year I was fortunate to have the opportunity to take many photos of birds – – – small, medium and large.

Taking good photos of birds in wilderness settings is devilishly difficult. Birds do not sit still for long and they tend to be very nervous when approached.

The trick is stay observant, use a telephoto lens and be prepared to shoot quickly.

To whet your appetite for 2015 blog posts to come, here are a few of my favorite bird photos of 2014.

Happy Holidays!
