Tryon Creek is the only Oregon state park within a major metropolitan area, a few miles southeast of home.
Many ferns and small cedar trees cover the forest floor. Maple trees climb to the skies. Small creeks form lush canyons.
A six-mile hike evoked memories of early springtime and trilliums (wild lilies) too ubiquitous to count.
Another reason to live in Portland Oregon.
Loved your pix thru. The years. Tyron SP is one of my favorites having grown up in Lake Oswego on 8th St. Just blocks from the canyon. A great way to spend a childhood hiking and camping in the woods. We now live in Omak, Wash. In thesametown as Sheri Watts but have a daughter in West Linn.
Thanks. The folks at Tyron do a nice job of keeping the park in great shape.
I’m looking forward to visiting the Omak area this summer. It always brings back great memories of my high school days and old friends.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m looking forward to photographing the spring flowers in a couple of weeks.
