Entertaining Sights near Sisters, Oregon

Majestic mountains, volcanic landscapes, wildflowers and wildlife, Sisters has it all.

Taking a break from some long day hikes, I explored the area by car one autumn day.

The impact of recent wildfires is visible everywhere. But it only takes a couple of years before the forest begins renewing itself.

In the meantime, the newly opened areas allow in sunshine bringing new grasses and bushes – – – a great recipe for deer, elk and many other animals.
