A hike to beautiful roses with my favorite model

We threw on the daypacks, I grabbed the camera and we took off from home on a beautiful morning.

After hiking down Vista Hill to Washington Park we turned uphill to the Rose Garden.

The Portland International Rose Test Garden is the oldest public garden of its kind in the United States. At Rose Festival time the delightful smells and delicate features of the roses in bloom are always a treat.

Walking among the large variety of roses, I spent a good while taking photos of the spectacular flowers.

Leaving the Rose Garden, we returned home on the five-mile outing.

What a nice way to enjoy a few hours of sunshine on the last day of spring.

  1. Mt. St. Helens is almost starting to look like a real mountain again. Time marches on.
