The Dalles Dam Area

On a mid-May day I was passing through The Dalles.

Deciding to stretch my legs, I walked out to an overlook of the dam and the bridge over the Columbia River.

There were some old wooded buildings slowly rotting away. They were probably part of the town before it was moved uphill.

Mourning doves and desert wildflowers kept me company as I enjoyed the scenery.
