The End of the Rainbow

Rainbows kept popping up, some only few hundred yards from end to end. What a wonderful sight.

I was on Sauvie Island northwest of Portland searching for birds to photograph. But, the ever-changing skies kept my attention.

One bright rainbow ended in a field close to me. Alas, there was no pot of gold to be found.

Maybe the real pot of gold is in the beauty of seeing the rainbow in all of its glory.

  1. I heard myself exclaim, “wow!” as I scrolled through these photos, John. They’re so vibrant and fully-formed. I can imagine what a thrill it must’ve been in real life. I think you did find the pot of gold, and thank you for sharing it with us.
