Mt. Hood
In mid-Spring I decided to give Timothy Lake a try. There is a very nice 13-mile hike around the Lake, and by Little Crater Lake too.
But, I was turned back by too much snow on the access road.
On the way back, I spent some time exploring the east side of Mt. Hood, and the wildflower fields near Mosier.
What a pretty time of the year, especially when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
By the end of May, Timothy Lake will be open and I will return for a pleasant hike.

Loved seeing what you found on the east side of grand Mount Hood, John. Interesting that there’s still much snow to get through up there, but a great thing to have that kind of precipitation. Your photos are always so exquisite, I look forward to when you can make it through the access road, but until then, this adventure was truly lovely…thank you.
