Mt. Hood

For a change of pace, I drove to the east side of Mt. Hood below the Meadows Ski Resort.

Umbrella Falls

After parking, I walked a short distance to the north. Soon 60-foot Umbrella Falls appeared, a very pretty spreading-angled slide. It was a pleasant area with nice campsites nearby.

Along with Ramona and Tamanawas Falls below timberline on Mt. Hood, Umbrella Falls makes a nice place to visit on a hot summer day.
