Oregon Coastal Mountains
It was a cool, foggy and rainy morning on a mid-winter day. I drove to the Bloom Lake trailhead next to Highway 26 in the Coastal Range.
With 650 feet of overall elevation gain, the 3 1/2 mile lollipop-loop hike to the lake makes for a nice outing.

The lake (a large pond) was very picturesque with the reflection of many trees. It would have been much prettier if the fog had ever lifted.
The hike to and around the lake was very pleasant, and a visit to the past with much sign of old logging operations.
