I enjoy exploring the urban woods and surrounding areas near home.
In mid-autumn the transition to winter has begun. Instead of pretty wildflowers and butterflies, now I see coyotes, deer and a few songbirds. And, there are scary ghosts and other Halloween displays to be spotted in the front of many homes.
It’s one of my favorite times of the year.
