Fiesty Squirrels in the West Hills

Squirrel

The West Hills of Portland extend south from Forest Park to the high point on Council Crest to Marquam Nature Park. The are many interesting trails winding through the area, including the Wildwood Trail.

I enjoy hiking these trails, hoping to spot songbirds, deer, coyotes and colorful wildflowers in the spring. The squirrels are always fun to see. Their personalities often create a photographic moment.
