A 9,000-acre working cattle ranch in the Butte Creek Valley of Eastern Oregon. A chance to stay in a 4,300 square foot 1910 Sears Roebuck Ranch House with six ranch style guest rooms. Hearty country breakfasts with Nancy and Phil Wilson, just about as gracious and interesting hosts imaginable. And, other fun guests to boot.
The Wilson Ranches B&B was our home away from home the last week of May. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
Being only a couple of miles from Fossil, it made a very convenient location for exploring the John Day Fossil Bed National Monument.
And, being close to the John Day River, it provided me a good excuse to get in a day of smallmouth bass fishing.
