Tualatin River NWR Visit with the Family

The Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge is located a few miles southwest of Portland, Oregon. It’s one of only a handful of urban wildlife refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System.

My nephew and family were in town on a nice August day. We decided to hike the Refuge’s 3 1/2-mile perimeter trail.

There were fewer birds than usual, but It made for an enjoyable outing.
