Autumn at Trillium Lake

Mt. Hood Reflections

On a beautiful November day, I drove to the south side of Mt. Hood. The mountain was dusted with fresh snow, and a gentle breeze rustled through the trees. The sky was a brilliant, cloudless blue, making it the perfect time to visit Trillium Lake.

The reflection of Mt. Hood in Trillium Lake is a well-known and iconic sight in Northwest Oregon, particularly on serene, clear mornings. This breathtaking natural display is a favorite among photographers and has appeared on numerous magazine covers.

White River Sno-Park

After stopping at Trillium Lake, I drove to the White River. It always provides a spectacular view of the southeast side of Mt. Hood. The area is a photographer’s dream, with the rugged landscape and majestic mountain creating an unforgettable scene. The White River Sno-Park offers various winter activities, making it a versatile destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

What a grand place to live.
