Forty acres of tulips and sunny weather brought me to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest near Woodburn in the third week of April. It was a hoot – – – who would guess there could be so many colors of tulips?

And there were rides for the kids, wood-fired tractors tooling the fields and food vendors. A fun time.
