While staying at good friends Paul and Sharon’s home in Black Butte, Paul suggested I return to Matthieu Lakes which we had done together a few years ago.
The previous two days I endured thunder and lightning storms while hiking to Jefferson Park and Three Fingered Jack. Hiking south from McKenzie Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail sounded like a good plan for the day.
And, good plan it was. The weather was excellent, and the lakes along the trail were very pleasant.
