When the aspen trees turn golden in the fall, there are often many mule deer to be spotted.
In mid-October I spent a few days hiking on the east side of the Cascades. Usually I have sunshine, crisp mornings and views seemingly extending forever.
Not this year. It was rain, rain and more rain – – – record-setting rainfall!
So, I put on the raingear and spent part of every day out and about. Of course, the heavy rainfall did not contribute to great photography conditions.
One of the challenges, and delights, of the great outdoors is that one never knows what the weather will be.
