Mt. Hood
On a late September day, I drove to the Mt. Hood area.
Back in the springtime, I had taken a drive to the same area.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic at that time, I had heard that all campgrounds and access roads to trailheads were closed. I was surprised to see how closed they really were. In all my years in the Portland area, I had never seen anything like that except in bad wildfire seasons.

Evacuation info is not what you want to see
Well lo and behold, on this outing the 1674 square-mile Mt. Hood National Forest was closed again. And, sure enough, it was due to existing large wildfires and bad wildfire conditions.
I took some photos along the way so that we could all remember another dramatic time in all our lives.
Be well.
