Jack Lake

On a cold, crisp autumn morning I drove to Jack Lake a few miles east of Three Fingered Jack.

Three Fingered Jack reflected in Jack Lake is one of the iconic photos of the Central Cascades.

From Jack Lake, there is a very well known and popular hiking trail into the meadows of Canyon Creek Basin underneath the glacial moraine of the old 7,841-foot volcano.

What a nice place to enjoy a wilderness setting.
