West Hills
Portland Heights is well known for the rich colors of its springtime flowers. The variety of the old rhododendrons and azalais are amazing.
And the new foliage on the trees is a sure sign that the new year is well underway. Many of the trees are native big-leaf maples.
There are also many non-native, beautiful maple trees that come from places like Japan. They are all lovely and contribute much to the beauty of the West Hills.

Mt. St. Helens from Portland Heights
The Cascade’s high volcanos still have fresh snow that sparkles in the sunlight.
Isn’t springtime grand?
