Summertime in the West Hills

Blacktail Deer

Summer in the Pacific Northwest is amazing. Warm tmperatures and sunny skies set the stage. Everything remains green due to the spring rains.

Urban trails and nature parks are great places to spot local wildlife. Even urban streets and yards are places to spot blacktail deer, squirrels and songbirds.

The bright blue skies highlight the beauty of the West Hills of Portland. Both the Maquam Nature Park and the Tualatin Hills Nature Park are easily accessible with many trails to hike, providing an opportunity to witness the subtle shifts in the environment and appreciate the unique beauty of each day.
