Temperatures in the 70°s and nary a cloud in the sky. July 4th was a beautiful day. It was perfect conditions for the Waterfront Blues Festival on the Willamette River in Downtown Portland, the largest blues festival west of the Mississippi and the second largest blues festival in the nation.
We spent the good part of late morning and afternoon at the Festival. It was the first day of the five-day event. Since it’s on the river, a flotilla of boats were anchored in front of the two main stages. We had a great time and I took a few photos. Hopefully, they convey a sense of the fun that was to be had.
