Classic Late-season Hike on Mt. Hood

Aficionados of Mt. Hood always have a favorite location to visit on a late summer day.

My favorite destination is the McNeil Point Shelter via Bald Mountain.

In another few weeks the snow and harsh weather will return to the alpine areas. But, for now, their beauty is at its peak.
