A Beaverton Urban Outing

Just north of the Tualatin Valley Highway is an interesting nature park.

A loop of four miles passes small ponds, wetlands and forest.

In mid-October I spotted a weasel, cottontail rabbit, spotted towhee, Columbia ground squirrel and many chipmunks. Sad to say that none of them were posers.

As always, it remains a pleasant place to stretch the legs and enjoy a taste of nature close to home.
