Where she come from we never knew. One day she was just here.
For a few days our lawn and deck became her place to be during the day, and the large maple tree in the back became her nightly roosting spot.
She even was given a name, Patricia Peahen.
But then a storm moved in with rain and gusty winds for a night.
We never saw Patricia again.

What a lovely story. I feel like I’m missing her, too. Sniff. Sandy

Short visits by peahens are the best.
I had a visit from a peahen and a peacock for one day. It was a very important day for me so I took it as a sign. 🙂
They are a fascinating bird. I enjoyed the visit by the peahen. Although a week was probably enough.
