Urban Exploring

During the days of the coronavirus outbreak, I spend much time at home. Having a pleasant backyard helps.

Watching the rhododendrons come into bloom is a joy.

But, it’s nice getting out from time to time.

On a drive in the Coastal Mountains, I happened to spot a large bull elk. His antlers were just beginning to grow. Spike, his little friend, seemed to enjoy the company.

As a veteran who served in a war zone, this weekend always gives me an opportunity to reflect on how fortunate I am compared to some of my fellow veterans who did not make it back home.

Be well.
