First 70-degree Day Since October – – – It’s Springtime!

Marquam Nature Park

The West Hills of Portland are a fun place to hike in the springtime. There are multiple marked urban trails. Nearby is the 205-acre Marquam Nature Park to explore. Higher is Council Crest, close to 1,100 feet above sea level.

To my delight, spring has finally arrived. We had our first 70-degree day followed by two 80-degree days. Wildflowers are popping up everywhere along the trails. Songbirds are singing their songs and a few butterflies are out and about.

I’m seeing more and more folks on the trails. Like me, they’re enjoying the sights of springtime and the warm sunshine.
