The Majestic Snow-Covered Volcanos of Portland

Council Crest

I enjoy hiking in the West Hills. Several scenic trails lead to 1,070-foot Council Crest, at the top of the Tualatin Mountains. From the summit are spectacular views of four snow-covered Cascade peaks overlooking Porland. All are considered active or potentially active volcanos. Having lived through the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, I can easily believe it.
