Sights from Sisters
Anyyone who drives from Western Oregon to Bend looks forward to the magnificent scenery around Sisters. On a clear day the views of the Cascade Volcanos dominate the horizon. Mt. Jefferson and Three-fingered Jack frame the vistas to the northwest.
My favorites are the five peaks to the west. They are Broken Top, the Three Sisters (Faith, Hope and Charity) and Mt. Washington.
The mountains are at their best when covered with fresh snow, when they appear like dazzling jewels dancing in the clouds. But, they also have their glamour in the early fall before the early snowstorms move into the Cascade Mountains.
