A Redwing on the Attack

Blackbird singing in the dead of night,

Take these broken wings and learn to fly.

All your life,

You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

On our visit to the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in late April there were many varieties of birds in abundance. But, the baby ducks and geese were the main attraction.

The highlight of our outing was spotting a redwing blackbird terrorizing a great blue heron. The heron became irritated quickly, going into full battle array with its feathers. It was a sight to see. Hope you enjoy the photos.
